Dear Parents and Families of Bonner Classical Academy,
I am delighted at the opportunity and honor of taking on the role of Bonner Classical Academy’s first Grammar School dean. I am eager to meet you all and join you as a fellow co-laborer in your high calling to train up the next generation of citizens of the Kingdom of God in Christ.
You may have heard that I’m a native New Englander from New Hamp-shuh (hence my funny accent). I have been married for twenty-seven years to the love of my life Elaine, and we have three children and two grandchildren. My background in, and passion for, classical education began in college where I studied Philosophy and Classics via a Great Books (Classical) program at a Benedictine college (Saint Anselm College) in Manchester, NH. Later I would do a Master’s degree in Theology with Greek and Hebrew at Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, PA. I have taught philosophy and religion in two private Classical schools at the Logic and Rhetoric levels and at the college level as well. My wife and I also classically homeschooled two of our three children. In addition to my career in education, I am an ordained Anglican minister and have served both pastorally and as a chaplain to veterans. In keeping with the spirit and eclecticism of the liberal arts tradition I do have a wide ranging number of interests, skills and experiences which include military service as an Infantry Sergeant in the Army National Guard, certification as a Reserve Police Officer and work as an armed private contractor for the U.S. Navy and for the Federal Protective Service… to which I have also added the very elite skills of a children’s storyteller (along with the necessary funny voices) and assistant youth programming director in two public libraries.
I am enthusiastically looking forward to meeting you and your children as well as working alongside Dr. Drexel and the staff and faculty of Bonner Classical Academy to provide all of our students with a love of learning in service to God’s Kingdom and Christ’s glory!
In Christ’s service and yours,
Rev. Richard Lepage
Grammar School Dean
